Change Coaching with NLP
Are you in a coaching role? You might be a professional coach, a manager, a parent, a teacher, or the kind of friend who is frustrated by watching people struggle. In this summer series we’ll show you how NLP techniques and strategies allow you to be effective in coaching conversations. If you know some NLP, this will help you connect the dots. If you are new to NLP, this series will give you a basic understanding of both coaching and NLP approaches.
There is only one registration, so if you register for the first session you will receive reminders for the rest of the series. It’s a modular approach, so you can come to any one workshop and learn from it even if you don’t make all the others. But if you are in a coaching role, the whole series will give you new ways to think about your coaching and an understanding of how NLP deepens and enriches you current approach.
June 10: Courage or confidence?
The question that sits behind most coaching needs is this: do I need more confidence or more courage? If you knew, you would either develop skills and connect to your strengths (confidence) or develop your state management and connect to your values (courage). Use NLP to experience your relationship to confidence and courage. Use NLP techniques for mental rehearsal to test which one feels most important. When you coach, go beyond supportive language to help people connect with the right strength for their situation. And if you are ICF trained, deepen your listening and questioning to establish the best path to walk with each client.
